The Durham County Sheriff's Office is committed to crime prevention and community awareness. The Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) partners with residents and businesses in Durham County to help reduce and combat crime, create a safer environment on our roads and participate in community events.  Parents seeking assistance with troubled youth can participate in the agency's CHOICES program.
